Programme Outline

As our programme is tailored to each individual's needs, no session or activity is ever the same. We will decide which areas to focus on and exercises to use, based on the initial assessment and begin the programme by establishing trust and connection with the horses.

Following the initial 10 week programme, we work with our guests to decide whether continuing to visit us would be beneficial. Often individuals may wish to book future sessions during times when stress or anxiety may be heightened, for example, during exam periods or following a significant life event.

What to wear and bring

As our facilities are outdoors, we recommend that our visitors come prepared for all weather conditions, feel comfortable and wear clothes they don't mind getting a little dirty. These include:

  • Comfortable trousers

  • Appropriate footwear i.e. walking boots or wellies, not trainers - we can lend footwear for the session if necessary

  • Waterproofs during wet weather

  • A hat and sun cream during hot weather.

We have drinking water available but encourage our guests to bring along any drinks or snacks they might want during their time with us.
