Horses and sport have always been an anchor in my life. Not only did they shape my childhood and teach me valuable life skills such as intuition and boundaries, they also gave me the confidence to pursue a career as a riding instructor and open my own riding school, teaching children and running pony activity holiday camps.

After having three children of my own, I took a break from teaching, although horses were never too far away. My children grew up with our two family ponies on site and my daughter, Liv, inherited my passion, participating in all pony club activities. At the age of 10 she joined the British young riders dressage scheme which led to her selection representing England in 2019.

Like many of our guests, I have experienced and overcome a number of challenges in my life and after witnessing first hand the positive impact horses had on my own mental health and wellbeing, I wanted to help others connect with and benefit from these incredible animals.

Following a number of health scares, I decided to start my journey down the path of Equine Therapy. I trained in Gloucestershire at the Institute of Equine Facilitated Learning and Psychotherapy, and upon gaining my certification started practicing at my stables in Totteridge.
